In David Mence's Macbeth Re-Arisen the curse of the Weird Sisters has kept Macbeth from meeting his doom. Instead, he is raised as an undead lord and charged with raising an army of zombie minions an conquering Scotland. Egged on by his jealous, decomposing wife, our murderous, brain-craving antihero sets out on his mission, unaware that his erstwhile nemesis, Macduff, is journeying to the underworld in search of the means to defeat him.
The play, written by Australian playwright, David Mence, is written in iambic pentameter and was a smash hit at the 2006 Edinburgh Fringe Festival for White Whale Theatre.
